Our People

NCSA's staff of former college athletes, coaches and scouts will help you compete for scholarships. We know who you are: an athlete on the verge of making the next step, confident in your ability to raise your game to the next level, just hoping to be noticed, to be given the opportunity to play your game. We've been there.

Most of our nearly 500-strong staff competed at the college level. Now, working with NCSA allows us to help others earn the same opportunity. For people who know the value of college athletics—who continue to benefit from its lessons and values well beyond the span of a college athletic career—it's just about the most rewarding job you can find. We at NCSA share that viewpoint—and a common passion for what we do. In fact, many of us think of it less as a job and more as a lifestyle. But we don’t just bring a real love for college sports; our people bring decades upon decades of experience in college athletics and beyond.

Ryan Gottschalk

Prospect Analyst

I found my passion for sports at a young age. I played hockey and golf in high school and thought there was nothing better than continuing my involvement in sports by pursuing a degree in sports management from DePaul University

Henry Graham

Senior National Scout
Saint Mary's College
As a former two sport athlete in high school in Bozeman, Montana, I attended Saint Mary's College of California to play soccer. I have seen firsthand the recruiting process and how it can make or break an athlete's college career.

Aaron Graunke

Video Team Lead
Columbia College Chicago
I started working at NCSA because my brother-in-law, who was a college coach at the time, had used the program's videos to recruit for his team. He suggested that I look into working for NCSA's video department because of how much the video meant to the recruiting process. I took his advice and found an internship with NCSA a month later.

Dan Gregg

Senior National Scout
Augustana College
I am a living testament to the effectiveness of NCSA. I took advantage of the many options NCSA offered as a high school senior, and it was a huge success. I landed with a great football program and a perfect fit for my situation. I was very satisfied with my football experience in college.

Adam Greuling

VP of Engineering
University of Michigan
Growing up playing every sport I could find gave me a deep appreciation for the dedication, intelligence and hard work that athletics require. A three sport athlete in high school, my collegiate aspirations were cut short by a series of injuries. I came to work at NCSA to be a part of helping young women and men achieve what I missed out on.

Bill Griffith

Head Scout
Emporia State University
I came to NCSA to maintain my positive influence with student athletes and their families. Coaching at the high school, junior college, and four year level for a total of 15 years, I still maintain those relationships with all my former student athletes and families.

Robert Gross

I was born and raised in Algonquin, Illinois. I was a varsity baseball player and received several offers to play for small schools in college.

Matt Gustafson

Baldwin Wallace University
Playing college baseball was always a dream of mine and when I went through the recruiting process I soon figured out how confusing and tough it can be. I went through the NCSA program myself and found that their services and people made it easier for me to find the right fit academically and athletically.

Zach Haas

Head Scout
Arcadia University
I am a former All Conference DIII baseball player, a former high school baseball coach, a former travel baseball coach and have spent the last 3 seasons as an Assistant Baseball Coach at Alvernia University (PA). I recognize and am passionate about the value and responsibility of being a student athlete.

Nick Halkias

I have coached H.S Football for the past 13 seasons. I am originally from Pennsylvania and Coached at Red Land High School for ten years before moving to Chicago.

April Hall

Head Scout
Tiffin University
I joined NCSA to help student-athletes find the right college that will help them achieve their athletic, academic and life goals. As a former college head volleyball coach with Division I, II and III experience, I know what coaches are looking for in their prospects and can give a unique guide into what the recruiting process looks like from all angles.

Trace Hammond

University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign
What drew me to NCSA was the opportunity to help student-athletes realize their dream of playing collegiality. I want to help student-athletes and their families have more opportunities than I did when I was in high school. I was a two-sport athlete in high school, playing both baseball and football.
